Thurnham Hall Resort is close to the historic town of Lancaster with its medieval castle. This cultural centre offers theatre and concerts, while being within an easy drive of the Lake District National Park. The resort is ideally situated for day trips to the Yorkshire Dales, and the seaside town of Blackpool. The attractive studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments have full kitchens and are located in the house and adjoining property. On-site there is an indoor pool, health club, sauna, and live entertainment.

  • The resort operates an ongoing improvement programme so refurbishments may be taking place throughout the year. While the resort endeavours to keep noise and disruption to a minimum, there may be some disturbance to our guests. For information in relation to works which may be happening during your holiday, please contact the Resort directly.
  • Upon check in all guests occupying the unit including children are required to present a valid form of identification along with the confirmation of your reservation. Check in is after 4:00 pm and checkout is prior to 10:00 am.
  • Occupancy limits are strictly enforced: Violations could result in forfeiture of the unit and/or other penalties.
  • Credit card imprint required upon check-in at the resort.
  • Fees charged for some utilities.

  • Hen and stag party bookings will not be accepted. The resort applies this policy strictly.
  • In accordance with the Statute of Children and Adolescents, it is prohibited to arrive with children or adolescents to hotels without the parent’s authorization or supervision: It is required to present an identity document or birth certificate upon check in.

  • For late arrivals, please contact the resort as soon as possible. Through Forton Village, there is a road closure with no information for how long this will be in place. As a result, please follow diversions to Cockerham Road leading to Lancaster that passes Thurnham Hall Resort on the A588. Alternative routes are also available. For further information, please visit Roads - Lancashire County Council.
  • The restaurant may occasionally be closed. We suggest you make a reservation in advance to avoid any inconvenience. The apartments are self-catering, so provide your own meals. On Christmas Day, the restaurant is open only for pre-bookings. No breakfast is served, but you can request a "Good Morning Pack" for your apartment.
  • The swimming pool is for adults only.
