Nearest airport: Klagenfurt airport - 45kms : from airport take motorway E14 in the direction of Salzburg. Exit at junction Warmbad-Villach. After the 30Km speed limit sign, you will see a turn-off on the left for Villacher Alpenstrasse. Take the first left,across the street onto the one-way system. On the left hand side you will see "Die Familien Residenz". BY RAIL: train to Villach Station, then bus to the resort. A shuttle service from Thermen is available for a fee.

Within 12 miles of the resort, there are many lakes great for swimming, mountains for hiking, and well-prepared biking roads. In the winter there are four ski areas with elevations of 6500 feet, all within a distance of only 6 to 12 miles of Warmbad Villach.
