The resort is situated in Finnish Lapland, which is very popular in the winter for
downhill and cross-country skiing over frozen lakes and through pine forests, as well
as fishing and snowmobiling. Buses take skiers to the slopes in winter, but a car
is great for exploring the area the rest of the year. Home is a timber lodge sleeping
six, boasting a full kitchen, sauna and a cosy fireplace. Outside, Akaslompolo is
a tranquil area with clearly marked walking trails and intimate villages to explore.
