The nearest airport is Juan Santa Maria in San Jose. Take a taxi to the Hotel Best
Western Irazu, where daily shuttle service to the resort is provided, ask the different
companies that offer this service (affordable prices) If driving, go through the Gral.Canas
road up to the junction that leads to Atenas, and from there to Orotina, drive along

The Puntarenas Province, the area of its territory is a very narrow strip, but takes
almost two-thirds of the Pacific coastline. This province shows its tremendous geographical
diversity through vibrant landscapes. It has rainforests, cloud forests, bio reserves
on some of the Nicoya Gulf islands, wetlands and the famous beaches of the Pacific.
The city of Puntarenas was the main port on the Pacific of Costa Rica. Currently,
Puerto Caldera (16 kilometers south of Puntarenas), is the most important Costa Rican
port for the arrival of cruise ships and general cargo.
